Mary Thach
she/her/hers
Mary recently received her Master of International Affairs from the University of California San Diego. Her family immigrated to Saint Petersburg, Florida on November 11th 1999. Her ethnic background as a Khmer-Krom American woman has tremendously shaped her identity these past few years. As she has recommitted herself to domestic issues affecting her community of Southeast Asian-Americans, it is very important for her to fully embrace and love her cultural heritage. She is a servant leader first and foremost. She strives to lead by example in all that she does which pushes her towards grassroots projects and programming. She truly believes in the power of the people, and when we collective embrace our power, a lot of changes can happen! She is excited to be apart of this year's Digital Advocacy Training as she is adding another valuable tool in her toolkit! This will help her be a better leader and advocate for her community. She is excited to learn more ways to engage in advocacy work through the digital platform. As our world continue to advance into the digital space, it is imperative our work on the ground follows.
