Khatami is currently a student at the University of Washington. As a coalition builder and abolitionist, Khatami currently organizes within the intersections of community and arts, where storytelling allows for infinite reimaginings of systems change. He is most passionate about cultivating creative spaces that centers radical joy and healing, as well as fostering sustainable spaces that uplifts underserved and disenfranchised communities. Outside of classes, you can find khatami learning new songs on his kalimba, tending to his reliquary of essential oil collections, and enjoying sunset strolls. He is ecstatic to join DAT 2021, where advocacy work is his life passion.
