Carolyn self-identifies as a woman, Southeast Asian, second generation Vietnamese American, and San José native. Carolyn has a deep appreciation for her various intersecting identities that inform her work as an activist and organizer in her community. Through grassroots and nonprofit organizing and her role in local government, she strives to disrupt the refugee-school-prison-deportation pipeline. Her hobbies include woodworking, cuddling with her furry four-legged children, and watching films with kickass women. She particularly enjoys smashing the patriarchy.
