SEARAC is proud to announce that our Leadership Advocacy Training will be celebrating its 25th year this summer in the Nation’s Capitol.
SEARAC’s commitment to building the power of Southeast Asian American communities grounds our Leadership and Advocacy Training program. Over the years, LAT has trained advocates to uplift their communities’ stories and fight for their own self-determination and well-being.
Since 1999 and even going digital during the pandemic, SEARAC’s LAT program has educated participants on the immigration, education, and health policies impacting their communities.
We strive to ensure diverse geographic representation with each cohort. Over the years, we have hosted community members from 41 states.
Since 1999, more than 1,000 community members have passed through SEARAC’s leadership pipeline.
SEARAC’s Leadership Advocacy Training (LAT) is a three-day immersive training program that builds the advocacy and leadership skills of emerging Southeast Asian American (SEAA) advocates. Participants of the program will learn how to uplift their community's stories and build collective power as they learn how to become effective advocates for policy change.
